We've been tweeting this week, along with many other classes and schools around the country, about autumn. Using the hashtag #anfomhar we've been able to search for tweets and see a lot of great pictures. Below you'll find a gallery of some of the images we captured around our school, some images we captured at home and images of some leaves we brought to school.
On Kidblog this week we've been discussing New Year's resolutions. Some of us have made resolutions and others haven't. Some of us like the idea of New Year's resolutions, others don't. Here's a flavour of the ideas we've been sharing:
Tadhg says he's going to read more, swim more, be nicer to his brother and try to laugh at Mr. Lane's jokes. Conor thinks New Year's resolutions are a bad idea because if people want to give or take something up they shouldn't wait for the new year, they should just do it. Tom thinks that Bill Gates's resolution should be to give lots of money to the Tom fund and that Mr. Lane's resolution should be to give his class no homework ever, ever, ever! Max is going to read more, walk around the park more and cycle his bike more. Aaron is going to be nicer to his brothers and sister, eat more fruit and use less hair gel! Billy says New Year's resolutions are a great idea, but only if you stick to them! Mark thinks Simon Cowell should make a resolution to be nice to the X Factor contestants for a while. Ayo is going to read more, listen more and help the elderly. Harry is going to be nicer to his sister, clean his room every week, learn to cook and teach his brother to support Arsenal! Eoghan M thinks Gervinho should get a new hairstyle because he looks weird, Messi should buy a bigger cabinet for all his Ballon d'Or trophies and Balotelli should stop being bonkers! Martin says his dog's resolution is to go on a diet and his own resolution is to do more gymnastics. Eoghan S says New Year's resolutions are a great way to give something up or take up something new. So, what do you think? We're very lucky here in Mr. Lane's class! Yesterday Harry brought in cake to share with the class. It was shaped like a big doughnut and it was delicious! Jamie R brought in potato soup too which also went down very well!
And today Ferrán has brought in a lemon cake. It smells delicious and we can't wait to taste it! |
