We recently welcomed five (yes five!) new members to our class! Their names may seem a little bit strange to you. They're called Swimmy, Chubs 1, Chubs 2, Chief 1 and Chief 2. And here's what they look like!
Thank you to RR, one of our human class members, for finding us five new friends!
Take a look at our photos below. Some of them were taken around our school and some others were sent in by Eoghan K and Eoghan M!
We recently did projects. We had to choose a topic beginning with m. Here is Harry's project on Madagascar.
We started learning about The Great Famine today. The Great Famine was a devastating period in the history of our country. We looked at the website below which explains what life was like in Ireland in the 1840s and how the famine started.
We also talked about how different our lives are today. Back then, Irish people mainly ate potatoes for every meal and children even brought them to school for their lunches. We're lucky to have a great variety of food available to us today.
This week we've been taking part in a project on Twitter called "Signs of Autumn". Many classes around Ireland and from further afield are tweeting using the hashtag #anfomhar to tell the world about signs of Autumn they see around them. We tweeted a few photos today. Billy took some photos at home on his iPod and three of the boys went around the school today taking photos as well. Here are some of the photos:
